Terms of use

These terms cover buying and using Idam, a Mac app made by Portal Productions in the Sultanate of Oman. By buying or using Idam you agree to them.

Buying Idam

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Your licence

• One licence lets you use Idam on up to 2 Macs at a time. You can move it between your Macs in Idam's settings.
• Please don't share or resell your licence key. We may switch off a key that is shared publicly.
• You may not copy, modify or reverse-engineer Idam except where the law allows it.

Your storage and your files

• Idam works with storage you own and pay for yourself. Your agreement with your storage provider (for example Cloudflare) is between you and them.
• Your files are yours. We have no access to them and claim no rights to them.
• Your passphrase is the only key to your files. If you lose it and your recovery kit, nobody, including us, can open your files.
• Keep your own backups of anything important. Idam is a drive, not a backup service.

If your licence stops

If a licence is refunded, revoked or can't be checked for a long time, Idam may stop changing your drive. It never deletes your files, and you can always copy them back to your Mac or open them with free tools.

Updates and support

Idam updates itself. We aim to answer support emails at portaldevsup@gmail.com within a working day.

Liability

Idam is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Idam. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
