Privacy policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
Draft: this page has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet.
This policy explains what Portal Productions ("we") learns about you when you buy and use Idam. The short version: we never see your files, your file names, your storage keys or your passphrase.
Your files
Idam connects your Mac directly to storage you own (for example Cloudflare R2). Files and file names are encrypted on your Mac before they upload, with a key made from your passphrase. Your storage keys and passphrase stay in your Mac's Keychain. None of this is ever sent to us.
What we keep
- Your purchase: your email address, the licence key and the Paddle order number, so we can send your key and help if you lose it.
- Your Macs: for each Mac using your licence, its name (for example "Studio iMac"), a random ID made by Idam, and when it last checked the licence. This is how one licence works on 2 Macs.
- Support emails you send us.
Who helps us
- Paddle sells Idam as our reseller and handles payment, tax and receipts. Paddle's own privacy policy covers your payment details; we never see your card.
- Cloudflare runs our licence server and update downloads. Like any web server it briefly processes your IP address.
- Resend sends the email with your licence key.
Updates
Idam checks for updates by downloading a small file from our update server. It sends no personal information or details about your Mac with that check.

How long we keep it, and your choices
We keep purchase and licence records while your licence exists and as long as tax law requires. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at portaldevsup@gmail.com. Removing a Mac in Idam's settings removes it from your licence.
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
